NTSC-RS is a video effect designed to emulate NTSC & VHS video. It can be used as either an effect for Adobe After Effects, Premiere or any program that supports OpenFX, or as a standalone program.
You can download it here.I only know how to do it on the standalone program. When the program is open, click Paste
at the bottom of the program, then paste in the config. after that, you can also save it as a .json
file which you can load whenever you want.
Note that the preview photos have been compressed to 256 colours, but they should look pretty similar.
I designed this config to be pretty clean, like it had been kept in a dry basement.
I made this config as a slight modification of the Semi-Sharp preset you can find below, it is, as the name implies, a preset intended for usage with gameplay footage. I tried it with Re-Volt and it worked pretty well.
And now, for the exact opposite. This one was kept right next to a humidifier, which had been running for the past 25 years. Shortly after making this screenshot, the tape was chewed up (Joking!)
This config is intended to give a mid-90s, professionally pressed tape feel. It works well with UI text, as you can see here
